Two Graves (literal translation: Two graves; orig. title: Two tombs) is a 2025 Spanish drama crime thriller film series created by Agustín Martínez. The film premiered on the Netflix movie platform on August 29, 2025.
„Two Graves“" is a limited Spanish Netflix miniseries that begins a deeply emotional and intense journey driven by pain, anger and an unwavering thirst for justice. Directed by Goya Award winner Quique Mayo and created by Agustín Martínez (co-written with Jorge Díaz and Antonio Mersero of the Carmen Mola writing team), the series goes beyond the confines of classic crime thrillers by placing an unusual but powerful character at the center of the action - a grandmother determined to get revenge.
Two years after the mysterious disappearance of Verónica and Marta, two 16-year-old friends, the case has been closed due to a lack of evidence and suspects. But for Isabel, the grandmother of one of the girls, this silence does not mean an end, but a beginning. Left with the pain of loss and a sense of injustice, she takes the case into her own hands, deciding to follow the trail of truth without regard for the law or institutions.
What begins as a personal mission to find the culprit quickly becomes a complex and dangerous path to revenge. The story balances the characters' inner drama and tense twists, revealing the dark sides of human nature and breaking down moral boundaries when justice is denied.
Kitty Manver gives a powerful performance as Isabel, an elderly woman who society would underestimate, but whose determination and pain hold an unbreakable strength. She is joined by names such as Alvaro Morte (known from The Money Heist) and Hovik Keuchkeryan, who add density and tension to the development of the story. Visually, the series relies on a dark, almost cinematic atmosphere that emphasizes the sense of impasse, while the soundtrack builds the tension tightly without forcing it.
„Two Graves“" is not just a film about an investigation - it is a story about pain, about loss, and about the inescapable need to know why. And most of all - what would you do when the institutions are silent and your conscience screams for action?
