The Book of Henry (The Book of Henry) is a 2017 American film directed by Colin Trevorrow from a screenplay by Gregg Hurwitz. The film premiered in the United States on June 23, 2017.
Sometimes things are not as they seem, especially in the small town where the Carpenter family lives. Single mother Susan Carpenter (Naomi Watts) works as a waitress in a diner, along with family friend Sheila (Sarah Silverman).
Her young son Peter (Jacob Tremblay) is a cheerful 8-year-old child, and the older one is 11-year-old Henry (Jayden Lieberher) who takes care of everyone and everything in his own way.
A protector of his little brother and a tireless supporter of his often-doubting mother, Henry burns like a comet in his daily life. Susan discovers that next door, where one of Henry's classmates, Christina (Maddie Ziegler), a dangerous secret is hidden. She also learns that Henry has a plan to help. When the rescue plan for Christina takes an unexpected turn, Susan finds herself at the center of events.
