While they enjoy their solitude, the world outside is falling apart: economic markets crash, political tensions escalate, and Venice's social network, Tram, accused of spreading disinformation and deepfake videos, contributes to global chaos.
The film explores themes such as the moral responsibility of technological elites, their disconnection from reality, and their impact on society. With its sharp humor and social critique, „Mountainhead“ offers insight into the world of modern technologists and the consequences of their actions.
