Admit it, Fletch. (Confess, Fletch) is a 2022 American crime comedy film directed by Greg Mottola from a screenplay by Greg Mottola, Zev Borrow, and Gregory MacDonald (author of the novel of the same name). The film is set to be released in the United States on September 16, 2022.
In this wacky comedy, Jon Hamm takes on the role of troubled charmer Fletch, who becomes the prime suspect in a murder case while on the hunt for a stolen art collection. The only way to prove he didn't commit the murder is to find out who on a long list of potential perpetrators is the killer, which includes an eccentric art dealer, a missing womanizer, a crazy neighbor and Fletch's Italian girlfriend. The only thing that's certain is that crime has never been so disorganized.
The film is based on the 1976 novel by Gregory MacDonald and is the third in the Fletch series, following the 1985 films Fletch and 1989 Fletch Lives, the first two of which starred Chevy Chase.
