The Magnificent Seven (The Magnificent Seven) is a 2016 American Western film directed by Antoine Fuqua written by Nick Pizzolatto and Richard Wenk. The film is a remake of the 1960 Western of the same name, which in turn was a version of the Japanese film "„The Seven Samurai“" from 1954. The film premiered on September 23, 2016 (Bulgaria).
In 1870, shortly after the Civil War, when the town of Rose Creek was taken over by industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the citizens need the help of seven criminal characters led by bounty hunter Sam Kisselm (Denzel Washington) to protect them as they prepare for the upcoming battle. However, during the mission, the Seven Defenders unexpectedly begin to fight for something much more important than money.
