Room (Room() is a 2015 Canadian-Irish film directed by Lenny Abrahamson from a screenplay by Emma Donahue. The film was released on September 4, 2015.
The film tells the extraordinary story of Jack (Jacob Tremblay), an energetic 5-year-old, raised by his loving and devoted mother. Like any good mother, Ma (Brie Larson) tries to give Jack happiness and security, nurturing him with warmth and love, doing ordinary things like playing games and telling stories. However, their life is anything but normal – they are trapped in a 3-meter-by-3-meter space that Ma euphemistically calls The Room.
Ma has created an entire universe for Jack in the Room and will stop at nothing to ensure Jack has a full and fulfilling life, even in this fake environment. But as Jack's curiosity about their situation grows and Ma's silence grows, they reach a tipping point, embarking on a risky escape that will ultimately bring them face to face with what may be the scariest thing yet - the real world.
