Until Death Do Us Part 2 (2026)

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come

Until death do us part (Ready or Not 2: Here I Come) is a 2026 American comedy horror film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillette from a screenplay by Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy. The film is set to be released in the United States on April 10, 2026.

Grace McCauley (Samara Weaving) — the sole survivor of the bloody "game" that led to the death of her husband and his entire family — learns that her triumph comes at a cruel price. The richest and most influential families on the planet are obliged to eliminate her in a new ritual, otherwise they will lose their power and wealth. Grace refuses to participate, but her choice disappears when she learns that her younger sister has also been put on the kill list. Now she must protect her at all costs.

The plot of Until death do us part begins almost immediately after the events of the first film "„Until death do us part“" (2019): Grace, having survived, finds herself the focus of a new, even more sinister "hunt." She is not alone - by her side is her sister, Catherine Newton's character, who is also involved in the "game.".

Samara Weaving — reprising her role as Grace, the heroine who survived the terrifying wedding night from the first film. Catherine Newton — a new character whose role — according to the trailer — is related to Grace. New additions — including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, David Cronenberg — who add style, experience and prestige to the production.

The themes seem to be expanded: it's not just about "survival", but about an organized game between families/groups who want power, control and... survival. A mix of horror, dark humor and absurdity is expected - as in the first film, and with the ambition to be "bigger", "savage" and "more unpredictable".

The team behind the first film is back — which is a good sign of consistency in tone, quality and atmosphere (horror + dark humor + suspense). With the new, wider cast — the potential for richer characters, conflicts and dynamics: persecution, alliances, betrayals, fear, chaos. According to the first shots and trailer — visual violence, blood, but also a dark, satirical flavor — the world of the film remains eerily disturbing, but with a certain amount of gore.

If Until death do us part manages to retain the spirit of the original — with grit, dark humor, and courage — and add new levels of tension, story, and characters, it could become a very strong horror-thriller for 2026. Honestly, it's good to be "cautiously optimistic.".
