Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (2026)
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (literal translation: Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man) is a 2026 British crime drama film directed by Tom Harper from a screenplay by Stephen Knight. The film premiered on the Netflix movie platform on 20 March 2026.
„Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man“" is a sequel to the cult series "„Sharp visors“" (Peaky Blinders) from 2013, which transports the viewer to post-war Birmingham with a new twist: adding a slightly mystical element to the classic crime drama. The series retains the style, tension and gangster atmosphere of the original, while simultaneously expanding the universe and exploring new themes - ambition, immortality and the consequences of power.
The plot continues the story of the Shelby family after the events of the final season of the original series. Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) faces a new, almost supernatural threat—a man whose vitality and influence seem endless, making him an almost "immortal" rival.
The family and its allies must deal with both classic gangster conflicts—gang wars, political manipulation, and recruitment—and this mysterious, game-changing enemy. Tensions mount as a new antagonist threatens not only Shelby's power but also the lives of those closest to him.
Steven Knight stays true to the visual style of "„Sharp visors“"—dark streets, smoking factories, contrasting lighting, and stylized shots that emphasize the ruthless world of crime and power.
The musical selection — a combination of modern rock and electronic elements — heightens the tension and creates a contrast between the historical setting and contemporary emotional motifs.
The actors once again demonstrate strong chemistry – Cillian Murphy brings the intelligence and cold determination of Thomas Shelby. Tim Roth adds energy and unpredictability. Sophie Randle (in archive footage/flashbacks) and Rebecca Ferguson intensify family drama.
The plot combines classic crime drama with a slightly mystical and psychological element, which makes the story fresh but retains the authenticity of the original series.
„Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man“" is a successful experiment — it enriches the familiar universe by adding tension, new threats, and an almost supernatural twist, without losing the spirit of the original.
Fans of "„Sharp visors“" will appreciate the opportunity to return to the familiar world of gangsters, intrigue and family conflicts, while new viewers can enjoy a dark, well-crafted crime drama with psychological and mystical nuances.
