Killer Puzzle 8 (Saw: Legacy / Jigsaw) is a 2017 American horror film directed by the Spierig brothers (Michael Spierig and Peter Spierig) from a screenplay by Pete Goldfinger, Josh Stolberg (based on James Wan and Leigh Whannell's Saw). The film was released in the United States on October 27, 2017.
It was planned "„Saw 3D“" to be the last film in the series about the killer, being divided into two parts. However, the filmmakers were allowed to make one more film after "Murder Puzzle" (Saw VI) didn't do particularly well. According to the writers of Saw 3D, the revelation of Dr. Gordon raised more questions than it answered.
In February 2016, it was announced that Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger would write the screenplay, and in July 2016, it was announced that Michael and Peter Spierig would direct the film.
The film is the eighth sequel to "„Killer puzzle“" and comes out seven years after the last part "„Killer Puzzle: The Final Chapter“" from 2010, which actually should have lived up to its name and been truly the last.
