It (It) is a 2017 American horror film directed by Andrés Muschietti from a screenplay by Gary Doberman, Chase Palmer, and Cary Joji Fukunaga. The film is based on Stephen King's best-selling novel of the same name. The film was released on September 8, 2017.
In a town called Derry, local children are disappearing one by one, leaving behind severed body parts. In a place known as "Pushinaka" (The Barrens), a group of seven children are united by their strange and terrifying encounters with a clown named Pennywise (Pennywise).
Bill Denborough has a personal score to settle with the clown. After his last encounter with Pennywise (Bill Skarsgard) 27 years ago, the "Losers Club" reunites, leaving behind their successful lives and businesses, because It has returned and children are disappearing again. The only problem is, they have all forgotten what happened that summer.
Will the Losers Club be able to regain their memories to find the key to killing Pennywise, and will they stay alive long enough to end his centuries-old tyranny and realize what brought them together again?
