Gone with the Wind

Gone with the Wind (Gone with the Wind) is a 1939 American classic film directed by Victor Fleming from a screenplay by Sidney Howard and Margaret Mitchell. The film is based on the novel of the same name by writer Margaret Mitchell, which was awarded the "„Pulitzer„". The film premiered on December 15, 1939.

Scarlett O'Hara (Vivien Leigh) is a woman who can handle a nation at war, Atlanta burning, the Union Army taking everything from her beloved Tara (a cotton plantation in Georgia in 1861), the political candidates after the war. Scarlett is gorgeous. She is vibrant.

But Ashley (Leslie Howard), the man she has been looking for for so long, is going to marry his quiet cousin Melanie (Olivia de Havilland). Scarlett is warned to be discreet at the party at Twelve Oaks Plantation.

There was a new man there that day. The day the Civil War began. Scarlett doesn't know that Rhett Butler (Clark Gable) is in the room when she begs Ashley to choose her over Melanie.
