Muzzle: City of Wolves (literal translation: Muzzle: City of Wolves) is a 2025 American action thriller film directed by John Stolberg Jr. from a screenplay by Carlisle Eubank, Jacob Michael King, and John Stolberg Jr. The film is set for a US release on November 14, 2025.
The film is a sequel to the action thriller "„Muzzle“"“ (Muzzle) from 2023., in which the hero Jake Rosser - now a seasoned former police dog officer - tries to live a peaceful life with his family. But his peace is shaken when a vicious gang attacks him, targeting those closest to him. With a new four-legged partner, Argos, Jake embarks on a dangerous chase to protect his people and uncover a sinister scheme.
The film is directed by John Stuhlbarg Jr., who combines action, suspense, and personal drama to build a sequel that doesn't just build on the original, but sets new standards.
Jake Rosser is retired from active duty and lives with his wife, children, and his retired dog, Socks. He is scarred by trauma and his experiences as a K-9 officer. His attempt to create a normal, peaceful life is shattered when a gang led by a mysterious, toxic leader breaks into his home and attacks his family.
Driven by anger and fear, Jake takes in new partner Argos, an active duty service dog, and together they set out to investigate who is behind the attack. Along the way, they uncover a network of corrupt officials and drug trafficking behind the gang that goes beyond simple street crime.
In his pursuit, Jake faces not only physical dangers - the plot also forces him to fight his inner demons: guilt over past losses, a sense of weakness, and the fear of not being able to protect his family.
The film moves quickly, with plenty of action scenes — gunfights, races, fights, twists — but it also leaves room for emotion: scenes where the hero and dog exchange trust, moments of despair, and scenes where Jake questions whether moving from the front lines to family life was a mistake.
„Muzzle: City of Wolves“" promises to be a powerful sequel — not just with more fighting, but with deeper conflicts. It hopes to show that the real battle is not just between bullets, but between fear, guilt and the desire for justice. Aaron Eckhart and his new dog partner promise to make this film a successor to the original, but with its own style and level.
If it can withstand a high production and a good script, "„City of Wolves“" could become a memorable part of the action series about a man and a dog who are ready to face wolves - literally and figuratively.
