Don't worry, he won't get far. (Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot) is a 2018 American biographical film directed by Gus Van Sant from a screenplay by John Callahan, Gus Van Sant, Jack Gibson, and William Andrew Eatman. The film premiered in France on April 4, 2018.

After I slacked off from Portland, John Callahan (Joaquin Phoenix) nearly loses his life in a car accident, the last thing he wants to give up is drinking. However, when he reluctantly begins treatment, mostly at the insistence of his girlfriend (Rooney Mara) and the charismatic sponsor (Jonah Hill), Callahan discovered his gift for drawing edgy, sarcastic newspaper cartoons, which became a national trend and gave him a new meaning in life.

Based on a true story, this moving, insightful and funny tale of the healing power of art is adapted from Callahan's autobiography and directed by two-time Oscar nominee, Gus Van Sant.
