Champion by nature (GOAT) is a 2026 American animated action adventure film directed by Tyree Dillehay and Adam Rossett from a screenplay by Aaron Buxbaum, Teddy Riley, and Chris Tugas. The film is set to be released in the United States on February 13, 2026.
The main character is Will Harris, a small, humble goat with big dreams. He lives in a world populated by anthropomorphic animals and dreams of becoming a professional player in "roarball" - a "sport" of contact, speed, and competition.
Despite being a "small goat" in a world of stronger, faster, and more fearsome animals, Will gets a chance to try out for the professional league. His new teammates aren't impressed, however: he has to prove that even "smalls can ball.".
The story promises to be a classic for underdogs — about struggle, dreams, effort, friendship, self-confidence, and often: "believing in yourself when everyone else doesn't.".
A strong, diverse cast and big names — including NBA star Stephen Curry, whose production is among the driving forces behind the film. This brings fame and the promise of quality voice acting. The theme is universal — underdog, struggle, dreams — suitable for both children and viewers who love animated films with emotion and a message. The film is a combination of sports, comedy and family values — suitable for watching with children, as a film that entertains, but also leaves a message of confidence and resilience.
„"„Champion by nature“" has a chance to become a light, enjoyable and motivating animation — something like a sports, comedy, positive film that can excite and entertain. Especially if the visual realization, voice acting and pace are maintained well.
