Beverly Hills Cop 4 (Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F) is a 2024 American crime action comedy film directed by Mark Molloy from a screenplay by Will Beale, Tom Gormican, and Kevin Eaton. The film is set to be released in the United States on July 3, 2024.
Detective Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) returns to Beverly Hills to investigate the untimely death of a longtime friend. During this intricate investigation, he stumbles upon a major corruption scheme that has insidiously spread through the respected ranks of the Beverly Hills Police Department.
Amidst this tangled web of deceit, Foley finds solace in allying with his beloved daughter Jane (Taylor Paige), whose life is also at risk. Ironically, Axel forms an unlikely alliance with her ex-boyfriend, a police officer known for his strict adherence to the law, and they are joined by his old friends, John Taggart (John Ashton) and Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold).
The unusual team heats up the situation as they make their way through the complex maze of the case, doing their best to uncover the conspiracy.
The film is the fourth sequel in the series "„Beverly Hills Cop“" and is released 30 years after the last part of the film, the previous parts being "Beverly Hills Cop" from 1984, "Beverly Hills Cop 2" from 1987 and "Beverly Hills Cop 3" from 1994.
