Lisa Frankenstein is a 2024 American comedy horror film directed by Zelda Williams from a screenplay by Diablo Cody. The film is set to be released in the United States on February 9, 2024.
In 1989, a perpetually misunderstood goth teenager named Lisa Swallows (Catherine Newton) reanimates a handsome Victorian-era corpse during a lightning storm and begins to mold him into the man of her dreams using a broken-down tanning machine in her garage. After undergoing a hilariously terrifying transformation, the romantic duo embarks on a murderous journey to find true love, happiness, and a few missing body parts along the way.
The film is inspired by the novel "„Frankenstein or the New Prometheus“" by Mary Shelley from 1818.
