The Aliens (1986)

Aliens

The Aliens (Aliens) is a 1986 American fantasy film directed and written by James Cameron. The film is a sequel to "„The Alien“" on Ridley Scott from 1979. The film premiered on July 18, 1986.

Fifty-seven years after Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) survives her horrific ordeal, her rescue shuttle drifting across the galaxy while she is in a cryogenic sleep. Her shuttle is discovered by accident, and when Ripley is brought out of her cryogenic state and taken to Earth, she learns that over half a century has passed, during which even her daughter has aged and is now deceased. Furthermore, Ripley's employers blame her for the destruction of their ship.

No one on Earth believes her story about "aliens" from the planet LV-426. Her company asks the colony on the planet in question to investigate, but suddenly communication with the colony is lost. The company then enlists Ripley in a team of tough, rugged marines to help on a rescue mission to the planet, which is partially shaped like Earth, to see if there are any aliens or survivors there.

During the mission, Ripley will have to face her worst nightmare, but once it happens, she realizes that the worst is yet to come.
