Inside Out 2 (Inside Out 2) is a 2024 American animated fantasy comedy adventure film directed by Kelsey Mann from a screenplay by Meg LeFave, Dave Holstein, and Kelsey Mann. The film is set to be released in the United States on June 14, 2024.
In the sequel to the 2015 film Inside Out, Riley enters puberty and as a result experiences a whole new set of more complex emotions. As Riley tries to adjust to her teenage years, her old emotions try to adjust to the possibility of being replaced.
The work on "„Inside Out 2“" begins after Mann sees photos from his childhood birthday party. The film presents the idea of the chief creative officer of Pixar, Pete Docter, for the "five to 27 emotions" of the first film, which Mann introduced during its production, for "realistic" world-building.
Like its predecessor, the production team consulted with psychologists to accurately portray how teenagers' emotions change during puberty, while also engaging a group of teenagers to accurately portray modern teenage life.
