Lies of P: Overture is an expansion to the popular game Lies of P, developed by Neowiz and Round8 Studio. The game is set to release in the summer of 2025. This DLC serves as a prelude to the main game, revealing the events that led to the chaos in the city of Krath.
Plot and atmosphere
In Overture, players take on the role of a mysterious Stalker, exploring the final days of Kratt before the outbreak of the „Puppet Madness.“ The story is set in snowy landscapes, including new locations such as Kratt’s zoo, and features a lighter color palette than the main game. Players will encounter new enemies and uncover secrets that shed light on events leading up to the main story.
Gameplay and innovations
Overture retains the signature combat style of Lies of P, but introduces new mechanics and weapons. Players will have access to new weapons such as the bow and arrow, as well as new „Legion Arms,“ including the „Cataclysm,“ a double-barreled shotgun, and the „Icarus,“ a device that shoots spinning blades. New movement animations have also been added to make battles more dynamic.
The game introduces new modes:
Battle Memories: Allows players to face previously defeated bosses again with increasing difficulty.
Death March: A mode in which players face a series of bosses with limited resources.
Additionally, Overture introduces new difficulty levels:
Butterfly's Guidance: Suitable for new players, focused on the story.
Awakened Puppet: Medium level of difficulty.
Legendary Stalker: The original, high difficulty level from the main game.
