Star Wars: Starfighter is an American science fiction action adventure film set in 2027, directed by Sean Levy from a screenplay by Jonathan Tropper. It is scheduled for release in the United States on May 28, 2027. The film presents a standalone story set in the universe of Star Wars, taking place approximately five years after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
The story centers on Cade Oberon, a cynical loner whose mysterious past leads him on a dangerous journey across the galaxy. During his journey, he faces trials that could change his fate and finds himself drawn into events of far greater importance than his own survival.
