Villain: Part Two | Wicked: For Good (2025)

Villain: Part Two (Wicked: For Good) is a 2025 American romantic fantasy musical film directed by John M. Chu from a screenplay by Winnie Holtzman, Dana Fox, L. Frank Baum (based on the characters from his novel "„The Wizard of Oz„") and Gregory Maguire (author of the 1995 novel of the same name). The film premieres in the United States on November 21, 2025.

Following the dramatic events of the first installment, Elphaba is declared the "Wicked Witch of the West" and goes into hiding as she tries to cope with her new identity and the aftermath of her rebellion against the Wizard. Meanwhile, Glinda is rewarded with the title "Glinda the Good" and becomes a public advocate against Elphaba, despite her own doubts and conflicts.

The film explores how the two women navigate their new roles in the public eye and how their paths diverge despite their deep connection. New challenges arise, including the Wizard's growing influence and rising tensions in Oz. In this context, Elphaba gathers like-minded people to stand up to tyranny, while Glinda struggles to balance loyalty to her friend with societal expectations.

The film features new musical performances written by Stephen Schwartz that contribute to deeper character development and their inner struggles. Also, a more significant appearance by Dorothy and her companions is expected, connecting the story of Wicked to the classic tale of The Wizard of Oz.

„"Malicious: Part 2" promises to be an emotionally charged sequel that expands on the themes of friendship, identity, and moral choice presented in the first installment. With an all-star cast and new musical numbers, the film is set to be a major event in the world of musicals.
