Avengers: Doomsday (Avengers: Endgame) is a 2026 American action-adventure fantasy film directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo from a screenplay by Jack Kirby, Stan Lee, and Stephen McFeely. The film is set for a US release on December 18, 2026.

The film takes place 14 months after the events of Thunderbolts from 2025, when multiple superhero teams—including the Avengers, Wakandans, New Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four — unite to confront Doctor Doom, who will unleash a crisis across the multiverse.

Doctor Doom, introduced as a villain in the MCU with a new version, uses both technology and magic to break down barriers between worlds and create catastrophic multiverse chaos.

It is the 39th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and a sequel to "„Avengers: Endgame“" from 2019.

„"„Avengers: Doomsday“" is shaping up to be an epic climax to Phase Six in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with a huge cast, massive visual effects, and a multiverse storyline.

The film is also expected to bring back characters from universes that have not been directly integrated so far (for example, the original X-Men), which brings an "opening" of boundaries to the MCU.

The role of Robert Downey Jr. with the new version of Doctor Doom being particularly anticipated and controversial — it's a significant change for the actor and for the universe as a whole.

The power of the film "„Avengers: Doomsday“" will be about the unification of multiple characters and the conflict between worlds — a risk, but also a great chance to present something truly large-scale.

A potential weakness is the saturation of plot threads — with too many characters and plots, balance can be difficult to achieve.
