The Copenhagen Test (2025 – )
The Copenhagen Test is a 2025 American fantasy action film series created by Thomas Brandon. The film premiered on the Peacock movie platform on December 27, 2025.
The Copenhagen Test is an international thriller series that combines complex political intrigue with a tense crime plot and psychological suspense. The action takes place primarily in Copenhagen, where various global agencies, intelligence agencies and criminal networks intertwine in a dangerous game of cat and mouse. The series is distinguished by a dark, stylish look and a fast pace, making it suitable for both fans of political thrillers and audiences who enjoy series with strong characters and moral dilemmas.
The central storyline follows a group of investigators—officers of the Danish intelligence agency and foreign experts—who attempt to prevent a major international crisis threatening global security. The investigation begins with the discovery of a mysterious letter and a series of inexplicable actions that seem unrelated, but gradually reveal a vast conspiracy. As the plot progresses, the characters find themselves increasingly immersed in questions of ethics, loyalty, and personal responsibility, while the world around them becomes increasingly unstable. The series skillfully moves from scene to scene, building tension not only through action, but also through human choices, conflicts, and their consequences.
The series is directed with modern visuals that emphasize the cold, northern atmosphere of Copenhagen - dirty streets reflecting a steel sky, narrow corridors of government buildings, as well as the dynamics of international locations. The camera often uses close-ups and sharp editing to enhance the sense of tension and uncertainty. The director's approach skillfully balances the personal stories of the characters and the broad political games, making the series both human and globally important.
The plot centers around several main characters, whose stories and motivations unfold in parallel. The actors delve deeply into the psychological nuances of their roles – from analytical, cold professionals to characters torn by personal dilemmas who don’t always make the right choices. These multi-layered performances give the series weight and enhance the sense of realism in a world where morality often changes under the pressure of circumstances.
The Copenhagen Test is a series that manages to maintain a balance between political thriller, crime drama and psychological portrait of the characters. The strong dramatic potential, the tense plot and the high-quality acting make this series one of the most interesting titles in the genre for 2025 and beyond. For viewers looking for intellectually engaging and emotionally impactful content, The Copenhagen Test offers much more than a standard thriller — it's a story about the modern world, trust, and the price of truth.
