Rivals is a 2024 American drama television series based on the 1988 novel of the same name by Jillie Cooper. The film premiered on the movie platform Disney+ is on October 18, 2024.
In the cruel world of television "„Corinium“"Enter Declan O'Hara - a brilliant megastar with a radiant and devoted wife, son and two teenage daughters. Too close to the valley lives Rupert Campbell-Black - divorced and debauched as ever, and now Minister for Sports.
It only takes Declan a few days on TV to discover that the managing director, Lord Badingham, is a crook who has hired him solely to help preserve the Corinium franchise. Badingham has also lured Cameron Cook, a handsome but domineering executive, to produce Declan's program.
Declan and Cameron loathe each other, provoking a storm of controversy that Rupert wades in with his usual irreverence. As a rival group emerges to vie for the franchise, reputations ripen and wane, true love blossoms and burns, marriages are made and broken, and sex rears its (sweetly passionate) head at almost every turn, as in bed and in the boardroom, the race is on to claim the Cotswold crown.
