Evil (literal translation: Evil) is a 2019 American crime thriller horror film created by Michelle King and Robert King. The film premiered on September 26, 2019.
Skeptical forensic psychologist Dr. Kristen Bouchard (Katya Herbers), Catholic seminarian David Acosta (Mike Colter) and skeptical tech executive Ben Shakir (Asif Mandvi) are hired by the Catholic Church to investigate alleged supernatural events.
As time goes by, the three's personal lives become increasingly intertwined with similar events and the people behind some of the incidents, such as Dr. Leland Townsend (Michael Emerson) – a rival and forensic psychologist who seems obsessed with Kristen and her family.
