Dexter: Resurrection is a 2025 American crime drama television series created by Clyde Phillips. The premiere of the movie в movie platforms is on July 11, 2025.
Dexter: Resurrection is the long-awaited return of the series "Dexter," continuing the story of the code-breaking killer, Dexter Morgan. The series offers a fresh start in New York City, following the dramatic end of Dexter: New Blood.
After his son Harrison shoots him in the final episode of New Blood, Dexter survives. Now he searches for his lost son in the big city, while his former Miami colleague, Captain Batista, arrives to investigate his mysterious disappearance. The portrayal of Dexter's moral struggles, this time in the darkness of the metropolis, sets the tone for the series.
The film is produced by Clyde Phillips, returning to the team to deliver the familiar sensual feel of the first series. The script is set in the city that never sleeps, punctuated by dark, tense scenes where every subway and New York skyline captures Dexter's dark inner struggle.
Dexter: Resurrection is a return to the familiar dark world of Dexter, but this time with a renewed charge – a new city, new enemies and new moral dilemmas. Characteristic moments – between compassion and murder, between father and son – set the emotional pulse. The strength of the performance, together with an ambitious cast, make the serial film a promising reboot. If you accept the „resurrection“ of the character, you will get a well-constructed crime drama with psychological and tension.
