Blade Runner 2099 (2026)

Blade Runner 2099 (Blade Runner 2099) is an upcoming American science fiction miniseries created by Silka Louisa. The film premiered on the movie platform Amazon Prime Video is on November 25, 2026.

The action takes place in 2099 in Los Angeles, 50 years after the events of "„Blade Runner 2049„". The main character, Cora (Hunter Shaffer), is a woman who has been on the run her entire life, forced to assume multiple identities to survive. To secure a better future for her brother, she decides to take on one last identity and allies herself with Olwen (Michelle Yeo), a replicant facing the end of her life. Together they find themselves embroiled in a vast conspiracy that threatens the city.

The series is produced by Scott Free Productions and Alcon Entertainment. Filming was originally scheduled to begin in Belfast, but due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, production was postponed and moved to Prague, Czech Republic. Filming began in May 2024 and wrapped in late December 2024.

Blade Runner 2099 is a sequel to the films "„Blade Runner“" (1982) and "„Blade Runner 2049“" (2017), based on the novel by Philip K. Dick "„Do androids dream of electric sheep?„".
