The Darkest Minds (2018)
The Darkest Minds (literal translation: The darkest minds) is a 2018 American fantasy thriller film directed by Jennifer Yu Nelson from a screenplay by Alexandra Bracken and Chad Hodge. The film premiered in Bulgaria on September 14, 2018.
Ruby Daly (Amandla Stenberg) never thought she would survive the horrific epidemic that killed 98% of America's children... but she did. Those who survive are left with supernatural powers that can be divided by color: the greens are super intelligent, the blue ones possess telekinesis, the yellow ones control electricity, the orange ones have power over consciousness, and the red ones control the fire.
Ruby is an orange, and a very dangerous one at that. She is sent to Thurmond, a camp for children like her. There, she feels unhappy and scared about what has happened to others like her, so she hides behind a mask of being a green and watches as those like her are taken away. Ruby manages to escape the camp with the help of other children, and from that moment on, her life changes forever.
