In a moment of crisis, Jake tries to get an emergency room doctor to examine Ace and is violent towards him when he refuses, leading to the officer being fired.
Blocked by internal investigations and pressured by his own superiors not to pursue the shooter's identity, Jake decides to go rogue and teams up with "Sox," a fierce K-9 police dog with titanium incisors and a mysterious past. Jake and Sox begin to unravel a city-suffocating conspiracy to exact revenge on those responsible for the murder.
