Fast and Furious 7 (Furious 7) is a 2015 American action thriller film directed by James Wan from a screenplay by Chris Morgan. The Bulgarian premiere is on April 3, 2015, and the seventh part of the popular series continues the story of Dominic Toretto and his team, for whom friendship and family are just as important as speed.
After the events of the previous film, Dominic and his friends hope to finally return to a more peaceful life. Their plans are interrupted by Deckard Shaw - a ruthless former special forces agent who seeks revenge for what happened to his brother. To deal with this new threat, the heroes must embark on a series of dangerous operations that take them from Los Angeles to Abu Dhabi. At the heart of the mission is an advanced tracking device capable of locating almost any person in the world.
Director James Wan, best known for his work in horror, maintains the series' signature mix of car chases, spectacular stunts, and large-scale action scenes. Fast and Furious 7 builds on the familiar formula with even greater challenges and international locations, while also emphasizing the connection between the characters. Some of the scenes deliberately cross the boundaries of realism, but that is part of the style of the films in the series.
Vin Diesel reprises the role of Dominic Toretto, and Paul Walker returns as Brian O'Connor in his final feature film appearance in the series. Dwayne Johnson continues the story of Agent Luke Hobbs, while Jason Statham gives Deckard Shaw a menacing presence and turns the conflict into a personal battle. Other familiar faces include Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, and Kurt Russell, Nathalie Emmanuel, Tony Jaa and Djimon Hounsou complete the cast.
Fast and Furious 7 offers everything fans have come to expect from the franchise – fast cars, dangerous chases, impressive stunts and ever-increasing tension. But beneath the spectacular action lies a story about loyalty, loss and the importance of the people we consider family. The film is also particularly memorable for the final appearance of Paul Walker, to whom the emotional finale is dedicated.
