Arthur the King is a 2024 American adventure film directed by Simon Celan Jones from a screenplay by Michael Brand and Mikael Lindnord. The film is set to be released in the United States on March 15, 2024.
Over the course of ten days and 435 miles, an unbreakable bond is forged between professional adventure racer Michael Light (Mark Wahlberg) and the dirty street dog named Arthur who accompanies him.
Based on an incredible true story, the film tells the story of Charlie Light (Paul Guilfoyle), who gets one last chance to win by convincing a sponsor to support him and a team of athletes (Simu Liu, Nathalie Emmanuel and Ali Suliman) for the competition "„Adventure Racing World Championship“" in the Dominican Republic. As the team is pushed to their limits in the competition, Arthur redefines what victory, loyalty, and friendship truly mean.
