The action takes place at the end of the 21st century. After a series of archaeological discoveries, scientists come to the conclusion that various ancient civilizations have left identical star maps that may point to the creators of the human race. Guided by this theory, the expedition of the spaceship "Prometheus" sets off for a distant planet in the hope of finding answers to the biggest questions about the origin of humanity. As archaeologist Elizabeth Shaw Noomi Rapace gives a strong and emotional performance, portraying a heroine whose faith and scientific curiosity constantly clash. Michael Fassbender is undoubtedly one of the greatest strengths of the film with the role of the android David - an intelligent, mysterious and difficult to predict character, who becomes one of the most memorable figures in the universe of "„Alien“". Next to them Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, Sean Harris, Rafe Spall, Kate Dickey и Guy Pearce build a compelling international crew whose diverse characters and motivations add additional depth to the story.
